However, ironically enough that's his usual strategy. He might not be your BFF (though of course he could be), but Chey likes to lurk lowkey as Random Villager B who might have lent you a dollar that one time. He's the unsuspecting side character that no one thinks too hard about until he fucks everything up. So!! It's very likely he could be friends with anyone! He'll just be a fake ass binch the whole time.[break][break] But he's good at faking, and he's a cheerful somewhat mischievous person when he does. It's not too far from his real personality besides the fact he'll backstab at the flip of a coin.[break][break] Where real friends are concerned, well... his only friend turned him into a Shade because they were a Shade so he's still pretty bitter about it. And because of that he's honestly pretty scared to make friends anymore, so it'll really be hard to accomplish friendship. But acquaintances are good, other Shades most likely can definitely be on friendly terms but trust is a big hurdle to overcome when it concerns Chey. [attr="class","morntitle"]AFFAIRS [attr="class","mornblurb"]Friends are hard, and lovers are even harder. Chey is somewhere on the aromantic spectrum, and rather than romance his most cherished bonds are his platonic ones. Friendship is a big deal to him, and there just aren't any feelings in him that seem to trump those. But it's possible depending on how plotting goes, and I'd say this section is somewhat synonymous with his friends section in that any real friends he might make would be his most important person. [attr="class","morntitle"]ANIMOSITIES [attr="class","mornblurb"]Despite his cheerful and bubbly outer personality, Chey is still looking to corrupt humans and turn them into Shades, and he does this with a bit of bitterness on his part considering he was corrupted as well. He tends to vent his frustrations on dreamwalkers he corrupts, so once he drops his act and has located someone's soul and/or has corrupted enough of their world, he shows his true colors and they aren't pretty. He's also not as perfectly stoic as one might think, so if you pick at a sore spot of his his act might not keep up as well and he can be incredibly testy and temperamental. Or maybe you're not into rather bouncy and energetic people? That's how Chey usually acts and there are bound to be people who aren't fond of him.[break][break] To the people he doesn't like personally, Chey tends to want to avoid them. He's got better things to do, dreamworlds to corrupt, you know? But it's not too hard to get a rise out of him if one puts a little effort forth. [attr="class","morntitle"]ALTERNATES [attr="class","mornblurb"]I'm open to most things so if anyone has any ideas for their characters and Chey toss them at me! The only miscellaneous thing I can think of is if anyone wants to play the Shade that posed as Chey's friend and ultimately turned him into a Shade, which would be super cool but totally not necessary so yeah hmu if you're interested?? I might make a want ad if my need grows but yeah :>![break][break] Also the random fact you didn't want to know about Chey but you will now: yeah he'd listen to Taylor Swift. |
