[attr="class","ur_appsubtitle"]BAGUETTE'S STARTING DREAM WORLD
[attr="class","ur_appcont"]
GENERAL DESCRIPTION[break]
everyone enters baguette's dream in a house. the house is very modern, with two stories, and enough rooms and bathrooms to fit a family and two children. it will always, no matter what, have a pen and feeding bowls for one dog. it seems like the perfect white picket fence home, and if you look at the garden, the grass is perfectly mowed. then, exit the house, through the red door; it's a lucid mix between towering, majestic skyscrapers, and your middle-class urban household. hundred-story buildings, all with the same architecture as a high school; in fact, it is a high school. buildings painted white with lovely auburn roofs, and a whole skyline of everyday suburban sights. day and night move quickly in her realm. it's paradise, a suburban city of youth and life, with an endless, endless blue sky above...
[break]
[break][break]
APPEARANCE[break]
every sidewalk is a clean, polished sidewalk, sometimes with chalk from children's drawings. there seems to be an influx of children and dogs and high school students, all having fun and laughing. adults and elderly are actually very rarely seen; it seems like the suburban city's entire population consists of youth. in the day time, the skies are always partly cloudy, with a beautiful clear blue sky framing picture perfect clouds. the white buildings reflect light, which illuminate high school classes being taken fifty stories high, or perhaps some students hanging out at the rooftop of an extremely tall building, as if it were nothing. there are very few cars, as it seems that bikes are the more popular mode of transportation.
[break][break]
despite it's giant towers, it will never seem like a city of lights, and it will never seem like a circuit of cars. when nighttime comes, there is no nightlife. the lights just come off, and everyone tucks off to bed. no corruption, adult businesses, or other such things exist in the dreamscape. very few people are awake. sometimes there are some students returning from the library, eager to sleep, but that's about it. there's just a new moon and minimal moonlight, with very dim there's no dazzling display of windows or neon commercials, it's like the suburbs; silent, peaceful, sleepy.[break][break]
again, it's very important to know that even if this city is as glamorous in new york in height, size and compactness, it is no new york. it's more like a neighborhood, where ordinary people do ordinary things. it's even more comparable to a house. there are many public parks, which may seem like the garden of the city. there are also plenty of happy restaurants; that may be the kitchen. there's a whole district for household appliances, which may be the storage room or the laundry room. and it seems there's an apartment complex no matter what street you go down, like how a house always has beds and bathrooms. and the sky, the great blue sky, is your window.[break][break]
in baguette's reality, crime is nonexistent, and unhappiness is nonexistent, unless it's over something trivial and can be gotten over easily. there seems to be no crises, no politics to worry about. it's the simple life, the life where you don't have to think about much other than your grades or your friends or your crush. there is always food, an unlimited supply of anything anybody would need. it's a paradise of casual middle-class life, a utopia of the absolute ordinary.
[break][break]
POINTS OF ENTRY[break]
one must enter the city of morpheus, naturally. there, there's a central park, which houses many entrances to dreams. but to the side of the central park, there's a little white fence which separates the park from another park; this park is for dogs and cats and all sorts of animals, from domestic to wild to zoo, to play around in. there are towers to climb and hoops to jump in, and even a fair sized pool for all those animals who love to swim. but we wish to find baguette's point of entry, no?[break][break]
look to the left. there, do you see it? there's a little shed, painted white, with a red door. the red door has a dog hole in it, but you don't need to worry yourself about that unless you can fit in it. now, see that handle? take it, it doesn't have a lock, and push in. the door is very small, you might need to bend over a little to get in, but keep going, keep going in, until it's very dark. then, close the door behind you. it smells like dust and paint, i know. but then you feel the need to blink, and without thinking, you close your eyes.[break][break]
but you can't be bothered to open them. there's some force stopping you, no matter how hard you try. and then you take another breath, but this time it's fresher, cleaner, like a newly bought house in only the most perfect of weathers. and the air around you has become less humid and more air conditioned, and it feels like there's just an abundance of daytime even if you were in a duty little shed, and suddenly you open your eyes.[break][break]
and you're in your own room, in your white house, with a red door. now go outside.[break][break]
NOTABLE FIGURES[break]
there aren't many remarkable people in her reality. they're all very ambiguous, and most of them are students or dogs or children. but go to the center of the city, and go to what's labeled as the central park. there's a bronze statue there, without a name, of a little girl smiling happily with a shih tzu. the shih tzu is baguette, and you can guess that the girl is her owner. but baguette has trouble remembering her owner's name, sometimes, so the statue has no plaque. this is the only statue in all the endless city. there are no other statues beside it.
[break][break]
OTHER DETAILS[break]
when entering baguette's dream, you'll be changing form. it's somewhat random, but normally, you'll be aged down to your youth if you're a bit older than high school or college age. just as well, if you have some darkness in your heart, or have a track record of causing trouble, you'll become a dog. what type of dog is random. but you don't gain any special powers, you just transform to fit the demographic of baguette's city. baguette is often human, as is her preference, but she doesn't mind being a dog every once in a while.
