[attr="class","ur_appsubtitle"]FIRSTNAME'S STARTING DREAM WORLD
[attr="class","ur_appcont"]
GENERAL DESCRIPTION[break]
The Palace of Versailles is Steven's dream world. Having grown up in suburban Paris, Steven had always dreamed of one day being able to live in the esteemed royal palace, but was unable to even visit the estate due to family poverty. Therefore Steven's dream world is set in the timeline of the French Renaissance, with all characters inside the dream dressed and behaving appropriately to the era. Steven and external visitors however retain their usual modern appearance.
[break][break]
Technically speaking, Steven is the "owner" of the palace, although all the servants refer to him as "Monsieur". Most of the time the palace and it's grounds behave as it's real world counterpart. However as the master of the house Steven is capable of modifying aspects of the building at any time. These modifications are usually harmless, such as changing the night and day but reach uncontrollable, dangerous levels if control is taken away (such as by a shade).
[break][break]
APPEARANCE[break]
The dream world is limited to the palace itself and it's seemingly endless surrounding gardens. The estate stands at a massive two and a half story and has a length of gigantic proportions. The outside of the building is a creamy peach color and decorate with an assortment of regal, religious looking statues. In front of the main entrance is a massive pond, surrounded by the usual benches and evening lights. The garden is mostly inhabited by roses, marigolds and lilies but also features several exotic species from around the world such as the rare blue mushroom. The palace is in the center of the grounds, a linear square building with an extremely large patio in the back. The rear gardens also features a riviera, a garden canopy for tea and a flower maze.
[break][break]
Inside the palace is furnished with traditional French Renaissance style furniture. Gold and silver align every corner and exquisite furs decorate the walls. Hand sewn bedspreads, open airy curtains and beautiful lavish mahogany chairs are just some of the regal things to be found inside.
[break][break]
Key rooms of note include the grand chapel, an eighteenth century Catholic style church complete with gold decorations, a massive dining hall with a long table with lavish seats on either end and a throne room with chairs for the "king and queen". Also included is a grand library and study where Steven likes to retreat to do his writing.
[break][break]
POINTS OF ENTRY[break]
The main point of entry is an antique music box and it's matching key. The box itself has had it's lock broken and will operate by twisting the handle. Upon doing so the box will open and emit a portal the size of a small door. The portal remains open for the duration of the music (10 seconds) before closing to be reopened again.
[break][break]
Inside the dream world lies the same music box in the master bedroom. Users can leave the dream world the same method as entering. The difference is in the dream world, the music box has a matching key. This key is usually kept by Steven in a locket around his neck. Because the dream world was created by Steven to be "emitted" from the box, the holder of the key becomes recognized as the owner of the world and gains the ability to control certain aspects of the world. Although Steven has absolutely no desire to make any major changes to his dream, the key technically is capable of creating massive distortions within the palace and it's grounds.
[break][break]
NOTABLE FIGURES (OPTIONAL)[break]
There are no particular notable figures within the palace. There is a lot of staff and servants including gardeners, maids and working servants. Unique servants include the head chef and the holy father which resides in the kitchen and chapel respectively. The garden is also home to several woodland critters such as rabbits and deer.
