[attr="class","ur_appsubtitle"]ARTEMIS' STARTING DREAM WORLD
[attr="class","ur_appcont"]
GENERAL DESCRIPTION[break]
Liberty Hospital is where Artemis’ nightmares take place. The hospital preys on the fears of those who enter it including the dreamer. The very air in the hospital hangs with a certain heaviness that makes even breathing difficult. The hallways are patrolled by deformed nurses and doctors with faces torn apart by angry patients. Many of their faces are wrapped, and they drag themselves with a sort of laziness that can’t be mimicked.
[break][break]
APPEARANCE[break]
The hospital looks like something from Chernobyl. The windows are cracked and broken, the floors dirty and molded with age, and doors creak and whine as they’re pushed open. The hospital is run down and there are several doors that are boarded up, including that of the basement. The very world itself seems grey in color, murky and sad. Liberty is full of rooms and almost labyrinth like in size. Hallways seemingly go on forever, and some doors can lead to nowhere, or to even darker places than one imagined in the first place.
[break][break]
ACCESS[break]
Artemis has just awakened as a dreamwalker, and his nightmare is out of control. The shade inside his nightmare is eagerly snatching other dreamwalkers up since Artemis has no control over his own dream. Once inside the nightmare dreamwalkers simply ‘awake’ on a bed.
[break][break]
NOTABLE FIGURES (OPTIONAL)[break]
Nurse Lily: A kind nurse who occasionally appears. She’s one of the only, if not the only, non-deformed figures in the dream and appears to help the dreamers. She almost always dies though.
[break][break]
OTHER DETAILS (OPTIONAL)[break]
Honestly this dreamworld is for funsies in terms of like… being a dick to your character. It’s fairly “open ended” in terms of where things go and what happens and whatnot. Not all characters fear hospitals which is why the ‘doors’ can lead to just about anything. Character afraid of lions? BOOM LION IN A DOOR. Character has deep rooted childhood trauma? BOOM THERE IT IS.

[attr="class","ur_appsubtitle"]CHARACTER HISTORY (OPTIONAL)
[attr="class","ur_appcont"]
Artemis’ childhood falls several miles short of ‘normal’ or happy. He was the youngest of four other siblings, all of which suffered terrible treatment from that of their father. Playing outside wasn’t usually allowed, eating food without asking permission wasn’t allowed, begging and being demeaned was often utilized, and being smacked around was common. Of course Artemis and his siblings made the most of things, to say they were sad all the time would have been silly. They were children after all, and they played and enjoyed things and ran around. Their father went through bouts of kindness and would shower them with gifts and tell them he loved them and would treat them better, and then flip around all over again.
[break][break]
Artemis got good grades, and didn’t think much of his home situation, that was just how it was. It wasn’t until he was eighteen that he had a terrible “accident” during an argument with his father that things got out of hand. As usual things got physical, and with a single push Artemis’ life was basically over. By some horrible play of god the teen fell onto a piece of wood that was sticking up in their house, a piece of wood that slammed right into his eye.
[break][break]
The hospital trip amounted to several things, the piece of wood had pierced part of his brain, and Artemis’ father was off to jail. Artemis was unable to keep himself alive on his own, and the hospital bill was footed to his oldest sibling who refused to pull the plug on their youngest brother who was now living on life support. The hospital staff was aware that he was somewhat responsive, Artemis wasn’t exactly a ‘vegetable’ he just wasn’t entirely awake. He just seemed trapped somewhere they couldn’t really reach him.
