lol. Sorry for the meme/vine thing. But here's the thing.
I don't know how to code. like at all ._.
Is it okay to ask someone to teach me basics or post a website that can teach me how to code? Never had an opportunity or an available class to teach me.
If you guys respond, thank you! So much!

Well I know there are a few teachers over on Wicked Wonderland but it depends on what kind of coding you're trying to learn. For me I just look at something and I'm like "ok I want this code" and I'll just look at the code for the box and put the code in. If you're looking to learn fundamentally (like for actual coding) you should talk to the sexy guy who made the site skin, whoever he is.

BUT ACTUALLY, NO I CAN'T TEACH BASIC HTML. That's a class you need to take on your own. Since most of us had it way back in elementary/high school. You can find some free online classes, somewhere on the net. I'll see if I can find good ones.

W3SCHOOLS
pretty much my no.01 go-to place when it comes to learning/looking up code. i'm rusty myself but most of the basics for HTML & CSS are covered there. they also have demonstrations on what a code does, how it's coded, and the ways you can change it up.
i think there's other places like codeschool or something that has an interactive learning process?
plus a lot of trial and error. i mostly learned that way (while being crippled to use IE as my browser).

^ Same here. My codes are pretty shitty but workable, so I can help too, but likewise, I can't skin, only coding on proboards - which is basically bbcode.

I have a handy dandy image that encompasses my method to coding so if you'll just bear with me... BUT NO IN ALL SERIOUSNESS I use the site nowaki linked all the time and also cssdeck.com is my savior because it give you live updates on what your codes will look like! It's for html only, but generally you can convert it to proboards by replacing "<" brackets with "[" brackets instead. Some spacing might have to be adjusted even from cssdeck to say jcink, so fighting with margins might be a thing but I think it's p useful. AS for coding basics well I never took classes but you can sort of pick up the general workings after seeing others' codes and getting a feel for how things are put together! Wicked Wonderland is a hella resource site 10/10 recommend and I'm still p new and minimalist and simple hovers is my jam (the only things I can do) so I can try to help if you ever need it as well!!

Hello everyone! Honestly, I didn't expect to get this much support and help! I'll try to address everyone as I can! STEVEN CHOI - Ah. Thank you for the website! I'm mainly looking for templates for posting Plotters and in general. I like simplicity but with like... flair that would just make it... me. You know? XD Did you get a code from this site or from another site? Did you have to ask for permission? JAWN - Thank you Jawn! But I'm not coding for an actual website. Again, just some posting templates. NOWAKI. - Thank you the website! I actually kinda, sorta learned by just trial and error from the app. HELENA PARRISH - Thank you for helping! I'm just trying to post templates and plotters and what not. Any help would be appreciated! CLOVER - Any help would be great. Thank you for helping! And bbcode? Is that different from HTML? Could you explain? CHEYENNE REINHARDT - Thank you for linking me to that website and the little tidbits! And tbh, I'm the same as you. I want minimalist designs and little-to-no hover. lol Thank you again everyone! I'm kinda new to RPing and just... bleh at coding. Right now, for posting, I'm just gonna use a code on this site. (Asking for permission of course.) I'm also thinking about looking at some sites and just use codes from there. It's alright to ask for permission for usage and modification right?

bb code is kinda like HTML but with square brackets. PB be codes are a good example, especially with the conversion to 'div' for styling.
as for premise templates you can use & edit so long as you don't remove their credits. all templates are coded with credits.
for PB there's 3 main sites for templates though they involve joining the site: wicked wonderland, gangnam style & adoxogrqphy.
i usually stalk the first two sites. hopefully the links work since i'm posting via mobile.

Mark Zhou adoxography is probably the best source out of all the pb resource sites to start off on because it has a lot of tutorials for basics! an alt. i can offer is me writing up a tutorial on how to do a basic template, but that'll probably take a while b/c i'm lazy and school starts soon, but if you're into this idea i'll definitely try to motivate myself into it.
