[attr="class","ur_appsubtitle"]CHARACTER HISTORY & MODUS OPERANDI
[attr="class","ur_appcont"]
Once upon a time, there was a princess who lived in a BIIIIIIG castle. She had everything she could ever want and more. Money was not an issue, and her parents doted on her. She believed this was reality. Reality was shattered when she learned that the world did not cater to her needs. That her parents had set her on a road for failure.
[break][break]
Growing up outside of her house, proved incredibly difficult for Charlotte. She found that despite her parents hefty wealth, few people desired her company outside of the perks she brought in name. Charlotte was the type to give it her all in everything she did, from work to friendship, she was in the situation 100 percent. So with each betrayal, it chipped at her heart more and more.
[break][break]
She was a perfectionist to an obsessive degree. Things had their proper place, and anything out of that place caused a mild panic. She also developed a possessive nature. This stemmed from friends leaving her for others, and the fact that until she was 12, Charlotte was an only child.
[break][break]
Names were tossed against her often, these ranged from simple things like being called ugly and scarred (because of all of the blemishes across her face), to deranged because of her constant obsession with people, especially those with red hair.
[break][break]
Charlotte retreated from the world, she began to damage herself, those words so easily tossed and meant to hurt her, became more than words, they became marks. A slice here, a burn there, hidden beneath her clothing so the world could never see the pain that it had caused her.
[break][break]
None would notice how easily she took to the dreamworld. To the land that became her sanctuary. With it's sprawling skies, the color of sunset. With its acres of flowers and forest, with a small cottage filled with all of the things she loved best - paints, easels, and parchment. She could spend hours in that one spot, protected, painting her scars not on her skin, but on the paper in colors more vibrant than the red of her own blood.
[break][break]
It took a lot for Charlotte to try to take her own life. It took a betrayal like no other. It began with a bet. Who could make the crazy red head fall in love with them. It ended with laughter and tears, and a whole lot of pills.
[break][break]
It was unsuccessful.
[break][break]
But Charlotte never woke up. For in the attempt, she had retreated to her dreamworld, and while there, they had came. They had offered her a better life, free from that pain, free to be herself. They would never betray her, never hurt her, she would be useful, a part of something.
[break][break]
She gave in. Redemption would only come when Charlotte could face herself in the mirror, and stand up for herself, be proud of her own skin, her own scars. Until then, she will be forever stuck as a shade.
