[attr="class","aistxt"]summary nina has had a rough life since the beginning. she was born into poverty. her single mom was the only constant adult figure in her life, and even then she had several jobs keeping her busy. this lack of necessities and material things internalized in the wistful child, and gave her an avid imagination. she was a dreamer of sorts, always hoping her mom would win the lottery or score big in some outlandish way. once this fantasy was never realized and reality set in, nina began working as a shot girl at the young age of sixteen. this eventually evolved through several events and by the time she was eighteen she had dropped out and began stripping. despite her constant reminder of reality, somewhere in the back of her head she's still hoping her little girl dreams would materialize.

friends in reality, her only friends are generally those she works with, and sometimes even the regular customers, though the latter is few and far between. in the dream world however, she probably has a very broad variety of acquaintances, as her dreamworld acts as a downtown nightclub. most of these people however, she won't be able to name; she is much better with faces than any details. her comfortable demeanor and whiplash kind of fun easily draw people in, although her impassivity and fickle memory make difficult consistent friends. there are few who can make it past this point and i wouldn't necessarily call those who do lucky. nina hasn't had a lot of experience with healthy relationships, and probably doesn't know how to behave in a normal friendship. it would be kind of humorous/cute to see one take form though.

enemies she knows full well that some people don't like her and that shades are out for her soul, as widespread as her dreamland is, but getting her to really truly care another thing entirely. not even she knows where her soul is, although she has an inkling it is out in the deserted parts of her dreamworld, outside of the club, protected by her crushing reality. even if that was discovered, the doors in her club isn't a commonplace bit of information. interestingly enough, she's known a few shades who don't even want to tear away her little world, as it is the kind of demoralized fun they seem to thrive off of. under normal circumstances, she will never be more than annoyed with most, no matter how they feel towards her. she can't feel much more because she doesn't put enough energy into relationships to get more excited than that.

loves deep, deep down, passed her unfeeling demeanor and icicle heart she's a hopeless romantic. this doesn't show much in normal interactions due to her extreme callousness, but yes, at one point in time she was a dreamer, and that included her love life. the only time this desire peaks through are the sparse moments where she is completely caught off guard by someone's actual emotional dedication to her. simple i love you's don't have much effect, but when you say why you love her, it tends to make her icy heart drip a little bit. that being said, she has never had a true romance or been on a functional date, even her purely sexual relationships are few and far between, if you would believe it. not many people make it on to nina's radar as it is, and it is a small fraction of those people that she's attracted to.

dreamers once allowed into her candy-infused strip club by the bull-like bouncers, you become the most attractive version of yourself. depending on your build and mood, you will either be dressed as a customer(masculine humans will be in designer suits while feminine in designer dress and heels) or you will be a stripper(in prince/princess themed costumes). everyone is human in abilities and strength. all are extremely susceptible to the drugs offered to them, as even the air breathed in is a relaxer/inhibition releaser of sorts. nina generally doesn't greet or talk you personally, unless you were on the list. candyland, as most calls it, is open to all and known by most, but it does work like a club, so if you show up too late and it has reached capacity, you must wait in the line.

shades in case anyone was wondering, i do expect her to eventually become a shade, her real life leaves her far too addicted to sleep for her to continue to carry on as she is now. nina is probably way too dysfunctional to be saved, but while the chance is slim it's not impossible. i do have a vague plot set up for darkening of the soul, but if anyone else wants to be involved just reply below!
