[attr="class","ur_appsubtitle"]MIYU'S STARTING DREAM WORLD
[attr="class","ur_appcont"]
GENERAL DESCRIPTION[break]
Miyu's dream world is an overgrown labyrinth by the name of Aokigahara. The paths are numerous and seemingly endless, which can be quite overwhelming to any first timer that dare enters her world. Not some simple hedge or corn maze, nor a massive stone labyrinth to distract a menacing beast - this maze changes in varying degrees the deeper one ventures in. There is no straightforward path, and short cuts are certainly not allowed. But if you allow your instincts to guide you and keep moving forward without looking back, your heart will show you the way to your own personal "Endpoint" where untold desires are said to come true.
[break][break]
APPEARANCE[break]
Upon entering Aokigahara, you will find yourself at the top of a staircase that allows you to get an overview of what you're about to enter. The first sight everyone is given is a bird's eye view of a maze made from trees with paths through them that are very easy to make out. Don't bother trying to memorize the paths you see though, because once you enter the maze, the paths will adjust themselves to guide whoever has wandered in to eventually reach their own personal Endpoint.
[break][break]
The first path style you'll come across is a rather defined and worn trail through a thick forest. Depending on the time of year, the forest may be quite warm and lively - like a nice summer night - or cold and barren - like a cold winter night. Thunderstorms are common as well, especially during Spring. The forest is very dark, but just light enough that one can make out their surroundings. The massive trees surrounding the path seemingly curved over the path, like the sky isn't even a means to escape the maze. The forest leaves a sensation of being watched in many who enter, the foliage that lines the path frequently shows the shine of predators' eyes from the shadows. One might even notice silhouettes in the brush to the sides of the path that look like bodies hanging from the trees or abandoned on the ground, as if acting as a warning to not leave the path set before you. Despite the frightening look though, the path does have a sort of mythical and magical feel to it. Something that lures people in further and further.
[break][break]
[break]
Eventually the path through the forest will lead you to a set of the ruins of some old buildings. At first, the building will look like nothing but piles of stone laying around, before steadily taking shape to reveal itself to having once been an old victorian cathedral. The deeper into the ruins you go, the more put together the building will seemingly appear, walls standing higher with stain glass windows depicting frequently changing stories and scenes from all over the world. Traversing the ruins, you shouldn't be surprised if you catch glimpses of ghosts of varying forms. Your own ghosts, or ghosts from all over the world seem to wander these halls.
[break][break]
It's fairly common for those with more corrupted hearts and souls to wander intothe actual worship center, complete with pews, the grand altar where a priest once stood, and a soft feeling of warmth coming over them that is comforting and tempting to approach. It's easy to get side tracked here and take a seat on one of the pews to just relax for a while. The ruins are also said to have some old ballroom where ghost figures are supposedly seen dancing to nonexistent music. Go in and sing a tune, and you might be surprised by what you see or hear in response - a ghost may just dance to your song, or try and sing with you.
[break][break]
[break]
Once through the old church, and through an unmarked set of grand doors, your path leads you to the final setting. What appears to be an old grand hotel lobby opens before you. There seems to be a front desk, sitting areas, and even a place to stop and eat if you wish. Similar to any old fashion hotel, there's a lot of places to stop and hang out in before you go to your room. There's even a pool and a ballroom, along with a retro arcade. It's a bit barren - minus other dreamers whom may have reached this point as well - showing that there is no hotel staff present. But an envelope will be on the front desk with your name on it. Inside of it is the unmarked key to your Endpoint. Make sure you pick it up, or your wandering around will all be for nothing.
[break][break]
After getting your key, you can either choose to go in the elevator or take the stairs. Going up the building, the halls of the infinite floors will become gradually FAR MORE LUXURIOUS in design. Going down will result in the opposite appearance of a MORE GRIM AND GRUDGE atmosphere deeper down within the hotel. The direction you are forced to go to find your room depends on the person or group, typically. But regardless, the door your path leads you to will open up to a room that contains a secret desire of your's coming true. Whether this is something like seeing a dead loved one once more, being buried in riches, or being a king for the day, and more, it's a grand reward for the long journey it takes to get to your Endpoint.
[break][break]
ACCESS[break]
The key to Aokigahara is a simple small book that looks like some young girl's little pink diary - complete with a lock on the side of it to prevent someone from opening it. On the cover of this pink book is an intricate maze in the shape of a heart. In order to get to Aokigahara, you must complete one of the maze on the cover with one solid line without any wrong turns. A single wrong turn and your line will seem to vanish on the page and you'll be forced to start over again.
[break][break]
If you're able to complete the maze, the maze and your line will vanish - filling the heart with nothing but white. From the heart will rise the key to the diary's lock and once unlocked and the pages opened, the reader will be taken to Aokigahara. Once you enter Aokigahara, you will simply find yourself walking down the flight of stairs that act as the entrance to the massive labyrinth of Miyu's dream world.
[break][break]
NOTABLE FIGURES[break]
Frequently seen in the woods of Aokigahara is what seems to be the spirit of a young Japanese woman who silently wanders in the brush not too far from the paths. Leaving her be is the best idea because drawing attention to her and calling out to her can ignite irritation from the woman. She tends to lash out and can cause quite the scare for dreamers that bother her. Although, she's not capable of murder or extreme harm, she can certainly scratch someone up or cause misfortune to follow them through the maze. It seems she likes to curse those that bother her with bad luck for the remainder of their stay in Aokigahara, which makes it nearly impossible for the person to reach their Endpoint. It's quite clear she'd much rather just be left alone in the forests.
[break][break]
To contrast the woman of the forest that causes bad luck, if one is able to find the worship center of the victorian church, there is a chance of encountering the church's priest. A young French man who doesn't speak or make much noise, but his presence is a calming and assuring one. He comforts those that approach him, often igniting a desire to confess one's sins to him as well. A blessing from him can counteract the curse of the woman in the woods, making it far easier to find your Endpoint.
[break][break]
OTHER DETAILS[break]
For those that frequent the labyrinth quite often, with each successful trip they have to their Endpoint, the faster they will reach said Endpoint in their following visits. Be careful though, because the labyrinth is well known for containing a lot of Shades due to the elaborate paths and special Endpoints.
[break][break]
Also, unless you enter with a group, it's rather rare to cross paths with other people in the labyrinth, meaning for the most part, you wander these endless halls on your own. It is possible to come across other people, though.
[break][break]
The only way to get to your personal Endpoint is the simple act of believing in yourself. If you don't second guess and doubt your initial instinct about which way to go, you will undoubtedly find your way through the maze with little issue. However, if you do doubt your choices and second guess the directions you go, you are guaranteed to get horribly lost and/or end up wandering right back to the beginning - no matter how far in you were.
[break][break]
Believe in yourself, and you will get far.
[break][break]
For those that enter the maze in groups, it's the leader(s) that decide the destination. If one person takes charge, and the others blindly follow them, they will undoubtedly be led to the leader's private room. However, if the group works together, they'll be led to a room that will allow the group to participate in whatever kind of activity they might be interested in doing together; from playing a big game of basketball, eating lunch together, having a sleepover, or just simply sitting in a cozy room and talking for a while... The possibilities for this group room at endless.
[break][break]
Arguing among the group about which way to go will result in being horribly lost and/or being shot right back to the start.
